
Mr. Norm Rolando is a 8th degree black belt in Ed Parker's American Kenpo Karate.
He has been the owner and director of the Champion Youth American Kenpo Program since arriving in Minnesota in 1992.
Mr. Rolando started his Kenpo training in 1970 with Fred Brewster and Tony Sator until 1978. In 1979 he went directly to the Pasadena school run by Mr. Frank Trejo and started training first with Mr. Paul Girard and ultimately with Mr. Yosh Furuya.
In 1982 Mr. Rolando tested and was awarded his first degree black belt under Mr. Furuya. Senior Grandmaster Ed Parker awarded him his second degree black belt. All of his subsequent promotions have come from Mr. Furuya.
Saturday August 21st, 2010 Mr. Rolando was propmoted to 8th degree black belt by GM Yosh Furuya.
